The oil extinguishing chambers are parallelly connected to the main circuit, provided with a quick-action switching mechanism.
When load disconnector switching-on, the contact inside the extinguishing chamber close first before main contact close, when load disconnector switching-off, the contact inside chamber open later after main contact open.
It is an sturdy structure to ensuring undamaged under extreme service conditions. Each chamber is filled with about 0.5L to 1L insulation oil.


The red line shows the current path and the position of both contacts, main and auxiliary during the operation, the movement of fork auxiliary contact opening and closing operation are quick make and break independently, without any arcing outside the chamber, the chambers are not subjected to the current path when the switch disconnector is either in open or close position.
The extinguishing chamber is controlled by the stainless steel fork contact, when the load disconnector switching-on, the roller entrains the fork, the quick-action mechanism connected with the fork contact to drive the inside contact system to close the immediately, the contact inside the chamber close first before outside main contact close, when switching-off, first of all the main contacts are opened and only after achieved the safety switching-off distance, then the contact inside the extinguishing chamber is opened by the quick-action mechanism.
